Back from Toronto, and sad news...

gridlockjoeI just got in from Toronto. OGWW was a blast! If you weren't there, you missed out on the best slumber party/improv festival ever! If you have no idea what I am talking about... nevermind. :)
The sad news: My precious kitty, Smokey, died while I was gone.He apparently had a seizure the night after I left and died during the night. I miss that sonuvagun... and so does his brother, Bandit. Which begs the question: Should I get another cat right away?

Date: 2003-10-14 05:50 am (UTC)For the sake of Bandit, you might want to get another cat right away. I would make it somewhat younger, though, so that the pecking order is established somewhat early on.
It will probably help you through this, too, as long as you don't see it as just filling in a hole in your life. It's helping both of you through the process of dealing with the loss of Smokey and giving Bandit a companion he needs.
Just my two centavos as a former kitty owner...
