Her family isn't that bright -- and she was basically a nice person, but clever? Not really. It sounds like Harry has been modeling himself on his grandfather, Prince Phillip, a perennial embaressment on the cultural sensitivity front.
Strangely, the more I read about this the more I feel sorry for the kid. A better headline would be "College Aged Kid Shows Appalling But Harmless Bad Taste, International Incident Results." If any one of us had done something that dumb at age 20 (I was VERY dumb at age 20, though not in that direction) the worst we would've gotten would be a parental chewing-out.
