1. Did you always want to be in the media, or did you want to be something else?

3. Where did you grow up? (I'm sure you've told me, but my memory is so dreadful lately, I can't remember.)

1. I guess so. I was always fascinated by television; I suppose it started when I realized (somewhere around Grade 2) that my grandparents got different TV stations than I did and could see The New Price is Right (as it was then) at 4 p.m. Then in Grade 3 I became a Weather Watcher for Harold Taft at WBAP-TV (as it was then) (now KXAS).

2. I suppose if I hadn't gone into the media I would have been a meteorologist.

3. I was born in Dallas and lived here right up until I left for university. After graduation I moved to Mount Pleasant, Texas for a while, then came back to Dallas. And the rest, as they say, is history.
