Well, he's a politician. I have given up in believing that they don't do whatever they think will get them elected. Although, I still feel he's a better choice than McCain.

And I feel that either one of them is at least ten times better than what we have in there now.

Only ten times???

I thought there wouldn't ever be a Prez. I hated more than Reagan when he was in office, man, was I WRONG!!!

You hated Reagan more than Nixon? I can't decide who's worse, Nixon or Bush, though I'm leaning towards the latter.

And whoever wins this year, doesn't look like I'll be too disappointed. This is the first election I can recall in my lifetime in which I don't really dislike either candidate. (Which, of course, is quite different from truly LIKING a candidate, but at this point, I'll settle!)

Nixon resigned when I was 10 or so. I didn't really understand what was going on then, so while I hate him as a historical figure, it wasn't as immediate as my hatred of Reagan. Reagan became president during my first election -- I voted for Carter -- and I felt frustrated and horrified that so many people thought Reagan was the bestest of the best. I hated his cheerful inanity that people thought meant he understood something, that he was actually "wise". Arrgh. And he sooooo knew about Iran-Contra!!! But Bush is even worse and I hadn't thought that possible.

Ok, I was twelve, but still not very politically at the time of his resignation. Also, I am convinced that while Nixon might have wanted to do all the secret stuff that Shrub has done, he didn't have the strange complacency that has gripped our country and it's politicians since 9/11. Somehow the fear of terrorism has made it possible for Bush to do whatever he wanted, the constitution be damned. So, Bush wins the Worst President award hands down.
