Pledge drive!

gridlockjoeResponding to concern over the rise of identity thefts nationwide, Wisconsin Public Radio is outsourcing its pledge taking to a call center.
Working at pledge drives is fun. I bonded with most of my fannish friends at KERA pledge drives, even met a girlfriend at a pledge drive, and would never have met Sylvester McCoy, Trevor Bannister, and Paul and Mary of Peter, Paul and Mary were it not for pledge drives.

Date: 2008-05-23 05:53 pm (UTC)Paul was the only one scheduled to be at the pledge drive, but mary happened to be in town and was flipping through the TV at her hotel and happened to come across the pledge drive, saw Paul, and came down to the station.
