Of course, "most famous" is a relative thing. I had a huge list going, then had to trim it back for the required 7 entries.
George Takei, Sulu from Star Trek. Met him at a convention in Dallas. Very personable.
Jon Pertwee, the third Doctor Who. Met him when the Whomobile tour came through Dallas. He was quite the gentleman, pleased to meet everyone.
Drew Carey, host of Whose Line? and The Price is Right. Met him at Casino Rama after an Improv All-Stars show. I was impressed that he came out to meet fans after the show, and even more impressed that put off going to a press event until he had met everyone who wanted to meet him.
Micky Dolenz of The Monkees. I met him in Houston where he was performing in Aida with the Broadway touring company.
Tim Conway, comedian, co-star of The Carol Burnett Show. Met him and Tom Poston after their two-man show came through Dallas. My mom won tickets by making Tim laugh at a joke at a meet-and-greet earlier.
Roger Whittaker, singer. I've been to several of his concerts, thanks to my mom, who is a big fan. He always comes out to chat with fans after concerts.
Douglas Adams, writer of Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Met him at a book signing in Dallas, and actually got to chat with him for a while.
and a bonus name: James Burke of Connections fame. He spoke at Richland College one year, and I got to meet him afterwards.
So many more names I could add: Paul Darrow, Michael Keating, Michael Dorn, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Terry Nation, L. Sprague de Camp, Joe Straczynski, Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, Brad Sherwood, Greg Proops, Tom Poston, Basia, Yanni, John Tesh, Paul Harvey, John Chancellor, Phil Gramm...
I tag you!
