I feel like I've been cut off from the world: my ATM card is not working.

It worked fine this morning at the store, but at Fry's a couple of hours later, I was told that my PIN wasn't accepted. Later, I tried to get my balance at an ATM, but my transactions were cancelled before I could get the balance.

And the bank's voice recognition system is fairly dense.

I'm keeping an eye on my account online to watch for any signs of identity theft. I'll go to the bank tomorrow and get things straightened out (I hope).

In good news: vacation all week next week! Except for Tuesday afternoon, for the office holiday party. But, hey, free food!

I had that weirdness happen to me last week. I tried to use my debit card at McDonald's and it wouldn't take. Called the main bank number and was told my card had been canceled, but no reason why so I had to call my main branch. Main branch couldn't find a reason why either. It's now past 7 days and still no replacement debit card.

I feel like I'm in the dark ages, too.
