Glad I filled up Monday
Aug. 31st, 2005 01:31 pmThe station I filled up at on Monday went from $2.49/gallon then to $3.19/gallon today. And there are reports of prices as high as $3.61.
My boss is talking about telecommuting a couple of days a week, and I may do the same if this keeps up.
But it's not only the gas stations that are gouging. Some hotels in the Houston area are jacking up prices to take advantage of the refugees from Hurricane Katrina. The woman at the Attorney General's office who I spoke to earlier said she's been swamped with price gouging reports from this area.
