I had a bit of a scare in that respect last November when my optometrist noticed something when I was being fitted for new glasses. So I was packed off to an ophthalmologist... poked and prodded in my eyes (I can't stand anything being put in my eyes) and referred back for follow-ups just in case. Today the word came down officially that I don't have glaucoma and have very little risk of getting it. I am mightily relieved. Other fiddly bits in my life: My mom was supposed to have a bone spur removed from her finger yesterday, but the anaesthesiologist wouldn't put her under because her blood pressure was too high... extraordinarily high for her. So she went to see the doctor (my old doctor, who I left this year due to a change in insurance), and we'll see about the finger in a couple of weeks. And, I'm now on my new computer! P4, 512 MB RAM, 60 GB HDD, 6xUSB, 3xFireWire, CD-RW, DVD. Won it for $575 at CompUSA Auctions. Woo! I can now do more than one thing at once!
