Friday I was lamenting the high price of gas.

Guess where the price is today?

$3.00 A GALLON!

I'll qualify that by saying it is at the station that's always the highest in town. (the Shell at Richmond and Chimney Rock)

Holy Crap!

Guess I won't be able to afford to take a paid acting gig in Dallas that I came across recently.

Fortunately it's not like that everywhere in Houston http://www.fuelgaugereport.com/TXmetro.asp

It is rather scary when the gas stations start adding that 4th spot to their signs. Ugh!! $1.10 a ltr has to be pushing $5 a gallon? My conversion skills aren't on top form!

C$1.10/litre = about US$3.33/gallon.

Either way it still hurts.

Is that the high price or the low price?

I saw $3.05 yesterday as a high price.

$2.999 for regular, $3.099 for midgrade, $3.199 for premium.

Why, yes, yes you do!

I have an Honourary Canadian certificate, signed by my Canadian and non-Canadian friends... I took the oath of citizenship from the Governor General (or an actress playing her at The Second City)... and I have a Canadian flag hanging proudly in my living room. :)

friend of mine said " you're weird, are you canadian" and my former canadian roommate said I had honourary status...plus my sweetie of nearly 3 year is canadian...so I'm almost there. oh yeah, most importantly, i hate the heat.

We think that gas in the U.S. will be 5 bucks a gallon by next summer so we went and bought a hybrid. We ditched our gas guzzling '97 Dodge truck which got 15 mpg :O The hybrid gets 45 mpg and that is city driving!
Btw I'm in the SF Bay area where gas is still under 3 at 2.75 per gal... but climbing

I'm just sitting here, smiling, thinking of owners of gas-guzzlers like Hummers having a fit over the gas prices.

Serves them right for owning such gas-guzzling behemoths. :-)

Luckily the weather has cleared and I can ride my bike to work again. Gas is about 2.74 around here. Although, I have seen as low as 2.69/gal.

I have been drooling over Priuses for a couple of years now. Wish I could afford one.

Use Celsius. It won't make it any cooler, but 38° just feels better than 100°.
