gridlockjoe, I hear you ask?
Not a lot. Sold my original Star Trek movie DVDs, as I now have the special editions. Picked up Fail-Safe and season 2 of 24 (on sale for $28).
Car reservations made for my vacay (5 days away!) Pick up car at Pittsburgh International Airport, roadtrip to Philadelphia, wind up in Toronto for OGWW, return to Pittsburgh and fly back to DFW.
(Yes, Pittsburgh. It's only a five-hour drive from Toronto, and at $198 round trip, I couldn't pass it up.)
Roadtrip Checklist:
see Mr. Rogers' grave
see the Flight 93 memorial
visit Monticello
not visit my XGF who now lives in Washington
go to Colonial Williamsburg, but won't have time to see the park. (Pathetisad, no?)
try an authentic Philly cheesesteak
try to find the grave of my friend who died in the World Trade Center
visit the state capitol buildings in Annapolis, Richmond, Dover, Trenton, and Albany
pay exorbitant tolls to the New York State Thruway Authority
add a buncha new counties, finishing off Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware and making a big dent in Virginia
and, oh yeah, end up in Toronto, where there'll be shopping! And Whosers! And the Improv All-Stars!
...not gonna get any rest this vacation, but what the heck...
