Well, let's see.... I've had the fortune of meeting a lot of famous people, but the most famous would have to be Bill Clinton.
(And no, he didn't do anything that would warrant a suit, an investigation, or anything else--so stay outta my LJ, you Republican inquisitors!)
While he was running for president the first time around, Lauren and I went to a Dem rally in Riverfront Park where he spoke. Afterward, he was in a nearby area, and a guy asked me, "Would you like to meet the future president of the United States? You two come with me!"
So I put Lauren on my shoulders (she was a lot younger then) and went with him, and there Bill was, shaking hands with everyone, talking and showing some sincere interest in what people had to say. Lauren started yelling, "HI BILL!" over and over, trying to get him to look at her. He turned, put his hand out, and shook my girl's hand while she was on my shoulders.
Shaking mine, he complimented the earrings I was wearing. I had put them on that day and decided maybe I would get rid of them, as I hardly ever wore them, but after that, I decided to keep them. :)
He listened politely to us, and it was truly a wonderful moment for both of us.
The best part is, the local paper had someone covering the gathering, so Lauren's name ended up in the paper and we have proof that she met him.
