An earthquake? In Dallas???

The Dallas/Fort Worth area was hit by a magnitude 2.5 earthquake at 11:25 p.m., and a magnitude 3.0 earthquake at 12:01 a.m.

Although, come to think of it, I was vacuuming at midnight, with in-ear headphones in my ears. I turned around and discovered a unfolding table I had in the room was lying on its side - along with my seven pound laptop. I figured I'd bumped it without realizing ... but now I wonder. I turned the vacuum off and I remember that I was confused for a few seconds because I could still feel vibration in the handle. At that point I pulled my ear phones out, and the vacuum was indeed off, and no longer vibrating! I put it out of my mind until just now.

Also, just a few minutes ago, a shot glass fell off a shelf in my bedroom. It had been placed all the way to the back of the shelf, against the wall, so that was surprising.

Both the laptop and the glass survived their drops.
