Sep. 22nd, 2005 07:50 pmI had the brilliant idea of using Westheimer to Fulshear, then cutting up to highway 6.
So did everyone else.
It took me six hours to get from Westheimer and the Beltway to Westheimer and highway 99.
I turned around and came back home.
Now I have 3/4 of a tank of gas, and will get up at 2:30 a.m. to see if I-45 has cleared out so I can get to Dallas within a reasonable time frame and with enough gas. If it has, jolly good, I'm going. If not, I'm staying. First floor, but on high enough ground. And I have a safe room with plenty of drinking water.
And so to bed.
