The election is on!
May. 23rd, 2004 04:35 pmNot the US election, the Canadian election
My honourary opinion? The Conservatives stand a better chance this time around than at any time since Mulroney. (Not a hard feat to accomplish; remember the Tories were down to two seats in the Commons in 1993. But it's still the Liberals' election to lose.
Election day: June 28
Seats in the Commons: 308 (up from 301)
Seats needed for election: 155
Seats at dissolution: Liberal 168, Conservative 73, Bloc Québécois 33, New Democrats 14, independent 9, vacant 4
Number of hanging chads likely: 0
Question of the day: Would the Bloc consider a working alliance with the Conservatives in case of a minority government?
Oh, my new digital camera came in!
