Please be aware that as of 1/31/08, Comcast of Houston will no longer carry the following channels: Fine Living (channel 225) and DIY (channel 211).

Okay, Comcast, I think I will demand more! I want my CBC!

That's one reason I left Comcast. Betcha they add shopping channels.

They've been pretty good about adding HD channels. Too bad they moved HDNet and HDnet Movies to a separate tier. They also have GSN in the sports tier. I'm not paying $7/mo. to watch GSN and several sports channels I don't care about.

Very little Verizon presence down here, and no FiOS in any of their areas yet. I can get U-verse, but from what I have seen of it, it's not ready for prime time unless you can get FTTH, and I would be FTTN.

What I really want is StarChoice. Unfortunately I only have an east face in my condo, and that's into a wooded area.

There was a time when GSN alone would have been worth more than $7 a month. Sad.
