What goes around comes around.

Looks like FedCon USA, the convention that treated Aaron Douglas and James Callis (and most of their other guests) so badly, is shutting down in mid-convention.

Forget what I said about making Creation look good. They're now making FlanVention look good.

Big PSA: FedConUSA has nothing to do with the very successful Dallas convention Fencon, which is hosting its fifth convention this October. Fencon is run by a bunch of people who know where their towels are, unlike FedConUSA.

Well, someone's picking up his toys and going home. I wonder what else went wrong besides those two guests being screwed over, because if he's shutting the show down early, then there has to be more.

That's some frakked-up shart right there. I've been to crappy cons that have pulled the old bait-and-switch guest trick on me, but never this badly.

My main concern is that the name of Fencon, a Dallas convention run by my friends (mostly from ORAC), doesn't get its name sullied by the closeness to that other convention's name.

Ed it going to be making the "Fencon is not Fedcon" disclaimer much bigger and right at the top of the page very very soon.

It seems Tim has already gotten some emails from people hearing falsely Fencon was cancelled. Hopefully everythign will get worked out in a few days.

I'm sure they will. If there's anything I can do to help spread the word, let me know.
