As I can be one to follow the crowd:

Since [livejournal.com profile] myodana did, I suppose I should give a life update too.

As of today I have survived living in Houston for six months. It's not home, but it's not bad. Of course, summer hasn't started yet, so ask me how I feel in a few months' time.

Otherwise, I suppose my biggest news is that I'm now part of an improv troupe! I went to Improvaoke a few weeks ago and played a few games. Afterward, I was talking with [livejournal.com profile] lil_ms_drama and the others in the troupe, and I mentioned my Comedysportz training. I came back for a few weeks, and was invited to come to a rehearsal practice... and whaddaya know, I'm in!

We videotaped a demo for the Dallas Comedy Festival yesterday; [livejournal.com profile] lil_ms_drama was there but feeling unwell, so the other five pressed onward and, after an hour of trying to get the audio from the studio into the control room, we taped a longform scene.

I have also met up with some nice Firefly fans through Meetup.

However, there's been no progress on the love life front. sigh...

Not much else new from this end. Looking forward to Toronto! (Anyone else going to show up? I think [livejournal.com profile] ejumean is the only one who's committed other than me.)

Watch for more actual content from me soon... but don't hold your breath.

Have you tried eHarmony? If it can work for me...

Good for you and the improv stuff! I hope you continue to like it even when you are melting in the summer heat.

I don't think I will be able to get to TO this year either. I am going to Chicago the week before for a conference and that will take up all my traveling money (and then some) for the next millenium.

As for love life: try Udate.com, I found a friend who I made into a Firefly fan. Eharmony has me a little leery (although I did do it for a while) because the founder seems to be friends with Dobson of Focus on the Family -- a rightleaning christian group. (I am being polite there -- Dobson thinks Spongebob Squarepants is a bad influence on children because he sometime holds hand with his (I guess male) crustacean friend.)
