Changing channels...

Looks like the day after the North Texas Comcast systems were switched to Time Warner will come an announcement that Houston's cable system will switch from Time Warner to Comcast.

This may mean that I'll eventually get to keep my Comcast E-mail address after all.

But Comcast cable... ugh...

Unfortunately, there's no Verizon presence here. Houston and "Houston Suburban" (essentially inside Highway 6/FM 1960) is Southwestern Bell SBC AT&T, Kingwood is Sprint Embarq, Sugar Land is Sugar Land Telephone Alltel Windstream, Katy is Fort Bend Telephone TXU Consolidated Communications, and Conroe is Lufkin-Conroe Telephone TXU Consolidated Communications.

Isn't AT&T starting to offer fiber? I think they're rolling out a lot more slowly than Verizon. But dang, I love FiOS - 15 mbps for the same price as Comcast!
